At Moment Mindfulness, we value compassion, respect, and integrity. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for our clients and to treat each individual with the dignity and respect they deserve.
We aim to support children in their emotional regulation in being able to recognise their own emotions and bring awareness to the sensations that come with emotions and feelings. We teach children to give space between their thoughts, emotions and the words/actions that can occur as a response.

Mindfulness can seem abstract but in essence it’s techniques and methods that children can learn to help them be present in the moment, bring awareness to their feelings, thoughts and reactiveness.
Our mindfulness courses run alongside school's half term dates so the length of each course will vary accordingly. Each session will focus on a different area of mindfulness such as empathy, kindness, awareness of emotions, focus as well as consistent themes of wellbeing, listening and sharing throughout. Activities during these sessions allow children to explore these themes in a fun and engaging way with child friendly explanations, a safe space for movement and many opportunities to build independence!
Each child's experience of mindfulness is individual. At Moment Mindfulness we describe mindfulness as toolbox that children build over the course to support them in navigating their day to day life or something they refer to back to in the future. Either way mindfulness plants the seed for children to start evolving their mindset and like anything if used or practised consistently mindfulness techniques will become part of their daily habits. Having developed this mindful toolbox, it can encourage children to have better self control compared to acting impulsively, a higher level of empathy and reduced stress and/or anxiety.
